To all my house guests.

I'm currently in a two day gap between hosting people at the house. My wonderful friend Hannah left Monday and my one-and-only-sibling will being flying in Thursday. And these two haven't been my only guests. In the 71 days I will have officially lived in Texas as of next Monday, I will have had guests here 17 of those days or 24% of the time.

I love it, for two main reasons: I am a traveler and I have been able to do a lot in Austin.

I am a traveler.

When you love travel, you hope to find humans who are willing to let you crash on their couch when you find a cheap flight or are traveling to a couple new places. As I find travel super pivotal to my own life, I like to aid in others' adventures as well!

I have done a lot in Austin.

I have done a lot in Austin and I have to give that credit to all the people who have come to visit! It would seem everytime I want to try something new, I have a buddy to come with and try it out. Although, I'm grateful to have Joy and Luke for those adventures as well!

This coming weekend, Joy and I will become the ultimate hosts as we will have four humans staying at the house with us during Austin City Limits [ACL].

What guests can expect staying at the 9504 Airbnb.

Spicy margs: It was highly important to me that we have a house drink. My mother is an expert bartender in my opinion. I have been making homemade Bloody Mary's since I was about 12 -- because making a Bloody Mary is child's play [quite literally] in my mom's mind. If you are a whiskey drinker the woman makes the best old-fashion, she also makes a mean martini, and as noted above she can whip a morning drink with ease [I'm super positive my mother is going to hate that her bartending skills is what I chose as the topic to brag about her on].

Anyways, I think we have perfected our own version of a spicy margarita, emphasis on our version. We go for a very heavy hand on fresh-squeezed citrus and leave out all sweet shit.

A place to rest your head: Between three queen beds, three couches, and a queen air mattress -- we can host a lot of human before the floor becomes an option. I believe at this point the record is sleeping nine in the house at once -- with all heads [and bodies] on a soft surface.

Cup of Flitch Coffee: If it's your first visit, I'm going to bring you to Flitch Coffee. I absolutely love it, and it has some of the best coffee I've tasted in the city. However, it's all outside so dress appropriately when leaving the airport... for MNers this means less layers!

Great music: I love music and Joy does as well. This means our Google Minis strategically placed around the house are always playing something to set our mood. We take requests. If you want hip hop from the early 2000s, Joy has a playlist for that.

Breakfast hash: Each weekend we throw the leftovers in a cast iron skillet and cook ourselves a hodgepodge of scramble-egg-delight. Depending on which weekend you visit you might get a better batch, but it's the perfect weekend pick-me-up. But midwesterens don't expect cheese, my lactose intolerant body isn't playing that game.

Baked goods: If you are lucky you may get to experience some of Joy's amazing baked goods. Personally, I love to cook -- but Joy is the ultimate baker of this household. Who votes Joy guest writes a few of her recipes here? I do.

Advice: When visiting, understand I will be leaving in the morning to workout. Trust me, I'm a better host this way.
